Restroom review: Texas Travel Info Center

I just wanted to let you know that the Texas Travel Information Center in Amarillo has PHENOMENAL restrooms. At least, the women's is phenomenal--huge and spotless. Luckily no one came in while I was photographing the bathroom. That would have been pretty awkward.

It also has a ton of literature on the area, some picnic tables and vending machines, and a whole lot of (dead in November) grass, which the dog appreciated. If you need a place to stop while driving across Texas, I definitely recommend one of these Info Centers.

And, the six flags were flying outside:

On the road again

We haven't had any pictures from a moving car in a while. Here are a few from the car--just a couple while it was moving--as the dog and I headed up to Colorado for the weekend.

We got on the road a little after 3 am so we could make the 18-hour drive without getting in too late at the other end.

We stopped for lunch at a picnic area on the side of the road in the Texas Panhandle. It was incredibly windy all across northern Texas and northeastern New Mexico, but the clouds were gorgeous! I can't hide my prairie roots.. I love that big sky.
