1. One mom took her kids out into the courtyard for an Easter egg hunt this afternoon. They were very excited, and very cute.
2. A friend of mine got six chickens (Rhode Island Reds) and two ducks today, so that eventually he can have some nice home-layed eggs. Aren't they adorable? :)
Warning signs with stick figures really crack A and me up, so today she messaged me this picture from her phone. I'm not sure what's supposed to be going on here. They make signs with pictures so they'll be universal, but I guess you have to be smart enough to understand the pictures.. :P
Update: I just heard from A! She says the sign is on a hand dryer. She's pretty sure the correct interpretation is:
I saw this AFP photo (by Tony Karumba) on the BBC News "Day in Pictures" website for today, which I always enjoy looking at. I really like the photo. (It is photo number 2 on the Day in Pictures.)
The caption on the BBC site reads: On the day of Barack Obama’s inauguration as US president, a villager celebrates in Kogelo, Kenya, where Mr Obama’s father was born.
Picture Each Day began one summer as a way to share photos of the Maine coast with family and friends for the couple months that I stayed there. I had such a good time trying to take at least one picture every day worth sharing that, after a brief hiatus, I decided to keep the blog going.
I don't promise that the photos will be good, but at least I have fun taking them. They are almost all taken with my little point-and-shoot Canon SD750 (there have been a couple times the only thing handy was my cell phone), or my newer Canon 40D DSLR. I try to post them on the dates they were taken.
