New music

New to me, that is. This is a fun little indie rock band from Oregon called Blind Pilot. I thought the lead singer's vocals sounded a lot like James Mercer's of The Shins, and I have since read that same comparison on.. pretty much every website talking about this band. External validation for my opinion, hooray.

Anyway, I think this is a really pretty video. But I am a sucker for piers :)

Earth Hour 2009

Earth Hour is tomorrow night! Haven't heard of it yet? It's a chance to show your support for global action on climate change, led by the World Wildlife Fund. On Saturday night, participants will turn off their lights from 8:30-9:30 pm (your local time). All kinds of related events will be held by organizations in cities all over the world. (I hope to attend the Texas Astronomical Society's star party.)

I was introduced to this FABULOUS (cartoon) (music) video today. It is adorable. I'm going to watch it again right now, though my neighbors may be tired of listening to it through the walls by now.
