Time traveling to the USS Missouri

Since the Marshall Islands are on the other side of the International Dateline, I got to travel back in time on my way home!

I spent all day Tuesday in Majuro, where I watched the sun set on August 12th. The next morning, I got on a plane at dawn on August 13th.
A few hours later, I landed in Honolulu on August 12th, where I spent my second Tuesday. (I had an all-day layover, so I took a bus to Pearl Harbor and toured the USS Missouri, where WWII ended with the signing of the Japanese Instrument of Surrender.)
That evening, I saw my second August 12th sunset from the Honolulu airport, and watched the sun rise on August 13th once again from LAX.

There's a gallery with a few more photos of Mighty Mo.
