So from now on I'm going to try to focus on the things that I particularly like about living here, things that I'll miss when I leave.
One thing that I will definitely miss is Central Market, a wonderful grocery store exclusive to Texas. I came to love the one near where I lived in Houston, and was delighted to find one near me up here in the Dallas area. In addition to its beautiful produce, well put-together selection of natural and organic foods, and wide variety of gourmet chocolate ( ;D ), Central Market has the best bulk section I've ever seen.
Candies, nuts, grains, dried beans, flours, coffees, teas, spices.. there are aisles of them! And then, as if the variety of bulk foods weren't fabulous enough, there is this super-cool machine for printing out labels. You just put your item on the scale, punch in the PLU code, and out comes a sticky label with a barcode on it. Some of the labels even have cooking directions on them! They have the same machines in the produce section as well.
And today I noticed a machine I'd never seen before:
Unfortunately I'd already gotten all the flour all I needed from the bins. But next time--next time I will be trying this Wheat Montana Fresh Milled Flour. :D

THat's a spectacular grocery super market! I've never seen one that big! The label printer is very common, I think, for we have them in any supermarket only without recipes! Thanks for your visit. The birds were on my daughter's hand. And they live in a jungle as my daughter's house is surrounded by rainforest!
Oh, Wil, you've just made me so jealous of your daughter! Living in the rainforest in Australia.. that would be amazing..
