Q is for Quilted with love :)
When I was younger, my grandmother used to crochet all the time. Everyone in the family owns multiple crocheted afghans. Several years ago she switched to quilting, and now we all have some beautiful quilts to join our Gram-made blanket collections. She made this one for me when I was in college.
I just love the colors and patterns in the fabrics she used!
But I think my favorite part might be this little tag:
Isn't it cute? :) (We call her 'Grandmere,' by the way, because when I was little I couldn't pronounce 'Grandma' correctly, and my mispronunciation stuck.)

I, too, love the fabric and colors in this wonderful quilt. And, you are right - the tag is special, oh so special!
Wonderful colours! I love them and the whole idea of giving quilts to all the children and grandchildren. So you call your grandma "grand-mère"? That's French! Are you French? My husbands ancestors were French, and some of mine too. Thanks for your visit.
What a darling little label that she stitched in! Such an extra special touch!
That is such a beautiful quilt! Great colours and the little label is so sweet. Grandmere sounds very chic I think.
Thanks for all your comments, made me LOL and suitable wordverifications always make my day, your wv 'nobdow' doesn't make sense at all ;-)
I wish my grandmother made quilts! She only crocheted afghans and knitted an awful lot of Mickey Mouses. I didn't want my Mickey Mouse and threw it out. Now she's gone I so want my Mickey back, but can't find them anywhere. I will have to learn how to knit one myself...
That's beautiful! Not only the quilt, which is very lovely - all colours I love, blended together - but the tag is priceless, in the true meaning of the word. I would treasure it, too.
A treasure, for sure! It is beautiful.
Thanks for putting the picture of the quilt on your website. I loved reading the comments by all of your "friends". Grams
To all, thanks for the lovely comments! As you can see, my grandma enjoyed them too :) (Hi, Gram!)
Wil, our family is not French at all, as far as I know. I am just that brilliant, that I was already coming up with French words as a child ;P
