Tonight I made cookies using this Triple Ginger Cookie recipe from 101cookbooks.com. They are delicious!
We already had orange peel and anise extract at home, so we substituted those for the lemon zest and ground star anise. The whole family thought the cookies turned out very well. I think they're better than most of the store-bought ginger snaps, because they're actually chewy instead of hard enough to break your teeth off :)
There was, unfortunately, one casualty. He fell off my spatula and exploded all over the countertop. I gave him a proper burial, though.. in my belly.
