New dishes

I bought myself some dishes tonight. I left my old set in Houston when I moved--it was just a set that I bought cheap at a rummage sale, and I had plenty of other stuff to move that mattered more to me than those dishes. But now that I'm settled in my apartment, I figure I could use some plates to eat off of so I don't have to keep pretending that Gladware food storage containers are acceptable dinnerware.

Here are my pretty, bright new dishes.

Update: In retrospect, this was probably the worst lighting I could possibly have used to show off my new dishes' pretty colors. I wish I'd waited for sunshine. But it was after sunset, I'd just bought them, and I really wanted to take their picture.
